Piedmont Area Telugu Association (PATA) is a non-profitable Telugu organization formed in 2011 for people residing in the Triad Area (High Point, Winston Salem, Greensboro, Jamestown, Colfax, Kernersville, Oakridge, and Burlington & Summerfield) of North Carolina.

It is the largest Telugu organization in the Triad with more than 1000+ individuals. It is formed with an intention to coordinate, communicate and help Telugu people. Our goal is to create an environment that brings families together and live in an environment that resembles our home. Our attempts to help families has ensued very positive results all over the country. This organization emphasizes the importance of cultural, educational, social and charitable interactions among members and families. It encompasses a wide range of people including professional doctors, scientists, engineers and computer software and hardware experts.

PATA not only works with families and help community members but also embraces commemorating festivals including Ugadi, Bathukamma & Fall Picnic. PATA also organizes sports events like Tennis & Cricket Tournaments in the Triad Area.

  • Promote Telugu literature, culture, educational, social, economic, and community affairs of the Telugu speaking people.
  • Maintain close collaboration, foster friendship, and understanding with other social, cultural and community organizations.
  • Organize periodic Telugu literary, educational, youth, cultural functions, and conferences. Work closely with government departments and other like-minded organizations to ensure Telugu community interests are protected.
  • Assist people of Telugu origin in need and aid newly arrived immigrants, visitors, and students. Promote cultural and social integration between Telugu community and local community at large.
  • To foster friendship and understanding among Telugu people.
  • To promote establishment with all other Telugu organizations in North America.
